The Perfect Recipe: Fruit Cobbler with Strawberry or Strawberry-Rhubarb | Submitted By: Pam Anderson, The Perfect Recipe Cookbook

May 31st, 2007
Individually quick frozen (IQF) fruits make good cobblers, especially compared to those made with out-of-season fresh fruit. Preparation is embarrassingly simple - just snip the bag and dump it in the bowl. Cobblers made with frozen fruit need a little extra oven time, so bake them for a good 55 minutes. More sugar may be used depending on the sweetness of the fruit. To substitute frozen strawberries for fresh, use 10 ounces frozen for each pint.
