It’s hot in Chicago in the summer. Excessive heat and humidity make for a climate where cooling down is a necessity. Based on the need to chill, the Chicago tribune tells us how to make Beer Sorbet with chocolate-covered pretzels. With all those great summer wheat beers out there (such as Bell’s Oberon and Flying Dog’s Woody Creek White), I could see some great applications for the craft beers we all enjoy.

My family requests this rummy Bundt cake from me at all our get-togethers. The butter rum glaze makes it special. An easy way to glaze your cake is to pour half of the glaze into Bundt pan, reinsert cake, then pour the rest of glaze over the bottom of the cake. Let absorb well then invert back onto platter.
